Let Life Flow

I recently needed to make a difficult decision that would lead to personal change. I spent a lot of time thinking about the decision I needed to make. During my decision-making process, I created blocks for myself with my limited thinking and my body clenched with worry. I was allowing the fear of change to wear me down. I was trying to project into the future, wondering what might happen once I had made the decision to change. Not knowing the outcome of my decision was leaving my ego feeling lost and out of control.

So, I opened my mind to receive some higher guidance and I sent Reiki to the situation. I asked the Universe what I could do to manage my fear of change. The message was clear: “Let life flow.” I know that life’s situations are constantly changing. But, on that particular day my looping thoughts had me fighting against change. After I asked for guidance and was reminded to “go with the flow,” I remembered that although I could not control the outcome of my decision, I could certainly change the way I thought about it. From there, I found peace within myself and I was able to make a conscious decision.

Once I began to feel comfortable with my decision, I told myself that regardless of the outcome, I needed to learn to trust myself. I also needed to release attachment to the outcome. I was worrying about things that had not yet happened, and those worries were leading to my stress. Being in a stressful state is out of alignment with my Higher Self and The Divine, so I turned my worry about change to gratitude. I stated to myself, “I embrace change.” Changing my outlook helped lead me back to my center, and from there I was able to bring light and joy into my energy field, creating a higher energy vibration. Being willing to look at change in a different way allowed me to walk through the doorway of fear and see that there are infinite possibilities on the other side.
