Some questions have come up during our Sunday morning meditation events, and I would like to take the opportunity to address them here.
For me, Reiki energy is a high vibration, loving, peaceful, and calm energy. When I run the Reiki energy for myself, I create a peaceful place deep within. When I sit in that peace, I can make healthier decisions, and things in the outside world are not as bothersome.
For me, low vibration thoughts and emotions are anxiety, fear, and worry. The news and social media, which vibrate at those energies, tend to intensify my low vibration feelings. If I try to make a decision or deal with a certain situation when I’m vibrating from fear and anxiety, I tend to make poor choices and don’t find much enjoyment in the world around me.
When I share Reiki, I remember that I have a choice to radiate from high vibration emotions like love and peace. This remembering is what I hope to share in my guided meditation sessions. I’m hoping that, for those of you who participate, you too can connect with your inner love, peace, and joy. Being in alignment with high vibration emotions may assist you in finding more enjoyment in your day and in making conscious, healthy choices as you navigate our world.
During the meditations, my intent is to create a peaceful scene that will help you align with the vibration of peace. I like to think of each of our emotions as being on a different channel. We have the personal power to change the channel to the emotion we choose. Admittedly, it is not always easy, especially with what is going on in the world today. But, we have a choice in how we respond to the situations around us. My intent is that on Sunday mornings, we create a peaceful place. Our peace can be carried throughout the day and into our week, and we can then radiate peace and share this high vibration emotion with others.
During our meditations, I ask that you visualize different scenes. We usually start with a walk in the forest. I have been asked what it means if you see something different than what I am suggesting you visualize. I believe whatever you see is right for you at that moment. I believe there is a message in everything we see. If I note to see a forest, but you see a turtle with polka dots, then just sit with your turtle. You can ask yourself what the turtle means, but don’t get caught up in overthinking. If we drop our vibration down into judgment, criticism, or frustration, we can block the higher vibration emotions such as understanding and compassion.
So, if you see a turtle, perhaps it reminds you of a joyful time as a child. Perhaps a friend of yours had a turtle as a pet, and it brought you happiness. The turtle may simply mean you are reminded to connect with your joyful self.
During our meditations, I will comment that we see, hear, or smell something. I am trying to connect you with your physical body to keep you focused on your meditation journey. It is perfectly fine if you are not seeing, hearing, or smelling the things I am suggesting. My words are just one way for you to connect with peace, but certainly not the only way. My intent is to share Reiki and bring some balance through our morning meditation. Whatever way you achieve balance will be unique to you. There is no right or wrong way to do the meditation. Be-ing with whatever you experience and allowing time for yourself can in itself provide a benefit.
In today’s busy and chaotic world, many people have commented to me that they feel out of balance. When I see what is happening and hear stories, I see many of us need to work with remembering. When we remember who we really are, our Authentic Self can shine through. Our Authentic Self is our Divine nature, present in each and every one of us. When we connect with our Authentic Selves, our inner and outer worlds can be seen and felt as beautiful places.
